Title: Who locked
Post by: anunitu on February 02, 2010, 05:33:12 PM
I use the fine program that will allow you to delete something that is locked by another program. While this is VERY usful when dealing with Spyware and the like, you have to hunt down the offending program after unlocking and deleting. I just found this prog, it wont unlock a file, BUT it will show the actual program that has locked the file.

Looks promising. Even more interesting would be a proggie that says "who started this process". If it were able to monitor the list of processes, and alert me if there was one that has never been there before, that would be almost perfect. Add a function that monitors (and eventually blocks) some known registry keys (google for runonce), and the AV companies would quickly go bankrupt.

Just dreaming :bg
