One of my brothers (I'm the oldest of six, 4 boys, 2 girls) the brother just under me was in the 82nd long ago. I've heard a few eye opening stories from him. :wink
i was also in the 82nd, 1973-1975
Dave, brother Gary was in the 1st Battalion 504th Infantry Regiment 1972 to 1974.
I can PM you his email if you two hard heads want to reminisce. :wink
i was in the 2nd of the 505th and later in the 1st of the 508th
the infantry battalions were all on the same long street, though :P
the street was named "American Way", if i remember correctly - lol
we used to run up and down that street in formation every morning

Looking spruce there soldier. Makes one wonder how wrinkle faced you are these days. (http://www.quickersoft.com/gigglesmile.gif)
I know I've got my share and now I'm beginning to get them damn sagging jowls too. :(
i am lucky, i guess

54 ?? Shoot, you're still a young pup. 59 here come May. Where did all the years go?
Now I'm sure there are folks around here that are much older then the both of us but that's them, I'm talking about me. :bg
i am not old until i try to get out of my chair :P
i have to pretend i am 20 years younger to keep wifee happy - lol
i'm in my early 20's(under 24) and I feel old, the 90's feel like yesterday, can't believe some things are already 10+ years old, is crazy. :(

I think maybe that occasional zap I also have experienced has helped to keep me alive. :bg
Bunch of old bullies... :8)
If you can hold onto 220VAC wires for 3 seconds or so, then you are a hero :bg
Did this once setting up a lab.... (My exact thoughts)
OK these 2 wires go here..
ZZZZZZZZZZZ...
1 Sec...
2 Sec...
'What's wrong with this wire.. it's buzzing.. stupid thing..
3 Sec
'This is really bugging me...'
+...
'Hells it's live.....!!!!!!'
and I let it go... felt really good after that.. but couldn't believe I felt nothing for at least 1 second - mind over matter.
:naughty:
But this is not as bad when I went to a poor 3rd world hospital, and working on 3 phase equipment.
Explicitly spoke to the locals there and taped the switchboard switches in the off position.
My f'ing index finger was numb for 15 minutes, as some idiot had switched the whole circuit on.
I flipped at all of them.. but they're were just.. stupid
