Title: Excellent lightning
Post by: sinsi on August 15, 2009, 03:44:47 PM
Just getting some really good lightning here in Adelaide, from where I am (Blakeview) seeing some good forks over the St. Vincent Gulf, about 10km away.
A lot of activity down south too. Ooh, here comes the thunder, getting closer...

Today was at least 25C, not bad for the last month of friggin winter.
Any climate change deniers, look no further than our rainfall over the past few years...

Sounds like you are having fun there. Sad to say in the inner city you can hear the thunder and occasionally see the flash but you never see the actual strike. A mate of mine lived at Bronte beach and he used to speak of exciting lightning storms out to sea from his place.

Hi,

Well not really a thunder storm, somehow we had a tropical
storm / tropical depression land here last night.  Wonder who
ordered up one of those.  Oh well, we needed the water.  I
guess.

Cheers
