Title: Newbie's headache
Post by: tholland on July 15, 2009, 07:15:14 PM
I have downloaded MASMSetup from the microsoft site.   When I execute it, it runs for a couple of seconds but doesn't set anything up.   I'm using Vista Home Premium and Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition with SP1 and SP1 Update for Vista.   I'm trying to set up MASM so that I can run it from Windows rather than from DOS (I know how to do that).   AQny guidance would be most welcome. :bg

Hi tholland,

Welcome to the forum.

The download from MS offers ml.exe V8.00.50727.104  You should start with obtaining the complete Masm32 development package :

Maybe you need to run it as administrator? My little brother laptop must do that first before installing anything.
