Title: Pvwater.exe
Post by: ragdogz on March 11, 2009, 10:21:42 PM
Hi,

I kept this file since long time ago and just found it in one of my folder. It's 4 KB file and it contains long animation. As I remember it has sound too. In Windows 3.11 or Windows 95 i can hear the sound coz this file open in DOS, and the sound driver is configured in autoexec.bat and config.sys. But in Windows XP i can't hear the sound. Nevermind about the sound..

What i want to know, is this made with Assembly?
How come the file size is so small while the animation plays longer?
And where did those sound come from?

Thx..

Maybe sounds were synthesized ?

You think that is impressive?  Look at this :

busclock,

Very nice and impressive. I doubt that it is in assembly, however.

Aero,
I tried the demo you attached. It shot out an exception as soon as the program tried to switch graphics mode. It is probably a limitation of the graphics card on my system.

Hi busclock,

Nice demo.  Looking at it in DEBUG, a quick look seems to
show it is not a HLL.  It should be assembly then.  Size limited
demos are often assembly, but beyond the ken of most of us.

Cheers,
