resource editor

hello,
what is the best (and up to date)resource editor ?
is it possible to change the default color of the (dialog and may other controls) using only resources?

i use radasm reseditor or visual studio as reseditor
your can change the dialog color with WM_CTLCOLORDLG

so you mean that there is no reseditor that can set the color of a window or it is not possible to do that with reseditor !!

by the way, your resource file (in the attachments of your first reply) was created by vc++ reseditor?
because i had tried to use vc++ reseditor but when using in masm it will not be compiled cause of errors of the included headers in the resource file .rc (by the way , i always use .rc files not .res files in my projects,any suggestions ?)

Pelle's IDE designed for the C development package has a nice built-in resource editor. The Forum Web Site offers the Symantec Resource Editor and the Watcom Dialog Editor

yes this file is created with visual studio

reshacker is a free resource editor and very good
and  ResEd 1.1.4.3

Vortex has pointed you in the right direction, download Pelle's C and use the resource editor in the IDE. It is a very good, professional tool that will do all of the modern resource types well.
