assembler tutor/helper

Is anyone familiar with Chuck Nelson's Assembler Tutor/Helper>?  If so, can they tell me why when I try the first program appropriately named prog1.asm, I can't link even when I move asmhelp.obj into the masm directory I still get a fatal error L1093: \asmhelp.obj : object not found.  Mr. Nelson says to copy asmhelp to the rood directory of the current drive but how much easier to find could it be than in the masm dir itself, and by the way I linked the file asmhelp.obj and it made an executable, so it's being found by the linker then.  Thanks for any help.  eww
