Leaving for Hawaii on Wednesday for vacation.  So I'm meeting you halfway.  You pick the bar.  I'll pick the fight.   :green2

Have fun guys. I wish I was coming. Please take some pics !!

Doc,

I wish I could take you up on the offer as its winter here and I don't like the cold. As far as the "fight" I think I could ply you with a bottle or two of good malt that would make you a very mellow fellow.  :bg

Prolly so, hutch.  I haven't been there in 20 years and I remember saying then that we should make a point of going every chance we get.  A few months ago I was whining "We never do anything, we never go anywhere" and the wife came up with this.  About a month ago I wasn't sure I was in the mood to go anywhere but, as the day gets closer, I'm more looking forward to it.  (I always recall going to Hawaii being the best vacation I ever had).

Doc,

Everything I have heard about Hawaii sounds good, people are friendly, climate is great, water is warm and the scenery is really something if you get out of the cities. Do it right and you should even come back with a suntan but make sure you don't get fried if you are not used to it. Now the great risk is when you get back and it starts to cool down again, you may start thinking WTF am I doing here and move to Hawaii.

Soooo, I'm back.  Just got off the plane a couple of hours ago.  So wtf am I doing on the 'net.  Sheesh.  What loser.

Actually checking email and stuff.  Feels like it's the late afternoon but it's only about 11AM.

Yeah, I got the same feeling as last time.  Wish I could move there but it's too expensive.  Yes, I burned but I burn every time I go on the water.  We took the teenage boys with us so we decided they would like more of the city life than the liaid back stuff so only went to Oahu but I found a couple of things to do that were more primitive that they got a kick out out of.

I would have been thrilled just to spend a few days on Maui like I did years ago.  We spent the day with some native Hawaiian guys and learned a few things.  I think I'll just call my home "base camp" and go down there every so often to clear the head.  The airline only destroyed two bags and lost one.  We flew back on the day of the latest security stuff about liquids.  Had absolutely no problems or delays because of it and that was going through three airports so don't believe everything you hear on the news.

Anyway, I've been up all night and I'm still on Hawaiian time making it six in the morning so I'm trying to decide if I'm going to force myself to stay up or go to bed.
