I suppose I can ask questions about Mozbackup here??

On my machine the backup for Firefox/Thunderbird seemed to work ok.
I have only one identity.

My wife's machine (Windows 98 2nd ed)  has 4 identities -
       Donna1, Donna2, Donna3, Donna4.
Firefox seemed to backup ok.
Doing Thunderbird gave the following errors:
Donna1 -  error deleting file - cannot delete file - File System error 1026
I was NOT trying to delete a file.
Donna2 - in the window to select what you want to do all items were
greyed out except general settings, so I was unable to select
    what was needed

Was afraid to try Donna3/Donna4
Suggestions would be appreciated,
JPS :(

Mozbackup is almost useless for me.
It backs up simple things on XP.
In windows 98 with four identities it freezes and gives errors and the data is questionable.

I have had a question on the "mozbackup" site for days with  NO response.

So that means that I'll have to find some other way to back up Thunderbird
or go back to Internet Explorer/Outlook Express.
Unhappy user,

Didn't I already give you the solution for this elsewhere?  I see your question on mozillazine and the problems you are having sound like OS problems and not Thunderbird/Mozbackup since you are getting errors that no one has seen before.  All this works for me so I don't know the solution.

to drhowarddrfine,
Thanks for answering.
I don't think we discussed this before.
Yes, Mozbackup seems to work on windows XP (on another machine)
with one profile. Havn't tried more than one profile on it.

On another machine running Windows 98 with 4 profiles I am having
nothing but grief. So I am going to go without a backup, telling my
wife if she has something on e-mail that she can't live without to print
it. This will go on until I have to replace the machine. It's 6 1/2 years old.
Regards,
JPS
