First thing to get is a decent C compiler. Depending on your choice, if you want a complete working and very professional package, try out Pelle's C compiler as it has a classy IDE and technically very good tools in compilers, linker, lib manager etc ...

If you want to be able to work directly with MASM and you are already used to it, get the VCTOOLKIT2003 from Microsoft as its a very good C compiler. Only problem is it is part of a 32 meg download but certainly worth owning.

I founded that C has common syntax with Masm. I didn't knew it seems I saw C++. C++ Syntax is beaten down by C, I think it's much better than C++; I remember I heard this somewhere, that you can manipulate things with C rather than C++.

I have it by default the browser, when I click on the link from the forum it gets stuck. I had written by hand and appears to be broken. Using the IE 6 from Windows Xp Home Edition
