Getting MASM installed help

I have been having trouble installing MASM
I have the cd it says on the cd version 6.11 and 6.15
Once i install it i can open the main screen but when i press build or run it does nothing so i am guessing something is not setup right.
any ideas?

You may need to tell us what the CD is. 6.11 is an old version, 6.15 is reasonably current.

Hutch,  I believe he is talking about the MSDN subscription CD.  That has the MASM distribution files on it.

Read around the different areas and get a feel for the place.   

Read the help files and tutorials of MASM32.   ( It's better if you download the MASM32 package and install it.  Than use the MSDN distribution of MASM. )

Yea sorry i did not search much I am a full time student at NJIT and work full time as well so i really did not have the time to search much.
the cd came with a book called assembly language for intel based computers.
Is masm32 the same if so is there a place to download it for free.

It sounds like the CD you have is with Kip Irvine's book and it should have ML 6.15 in it and example code and libraries.

MASM32 is a freeware project that has been in development for 8 years and it has a large body of example code, libraries and preprocessor code (macros) available with it. Just plug it in and it runs ready to write code with.

Go to the MASM32 subforum and download the current image which is the most up to date version of it.
