I gave up after a simple hack was done on the temmporary PHPBB2 forum I had set up. Spanish text message placed directly in the domain name root as index.html. Easy enough to fix but it was the last straw.

Hutch, I saw that page!  Couldn't believe it at the time,  Thought it was you installing/ editing files.
I've just downloaded this package, will have a look at it. Do you know yet whether you can transfer the old DB ?

Thanks for sticking it out hutch.  This forum seems a little quicker to me, maybe just the varabilities of the Internet though.  Time will tell.
