I tried about everything I could think of to get MASM32 to install on Windows 7.
I knew it was possible because I had done it once before. I am not sur that some
update to windows 7 may be responsible for the new difficulties that I had incuding
problems with my antivirus complianing about several of the small .exe files.
Then The ordinal 203 could not be located in the dynamic link library WINSPOOL.DRV.
I had some other types of problems similar to others mentioned here in this
forum.

Anyway, I installed it within the XP VM from microsoft and have had no problems with
that. I also installed MAMS64 in Windows 7 x64. This also went well. So, I am
getting back in the saddle again. My first serious programming was in assembler on
Xerox sigma 6, then 8080 and Varian then Interdata and Tymnet Engines. I have
never played with assembler on my current PC.

Thank You for the oppurtunity to get involved with this again! I am looking forward to
this.

Good luck to You all for all of new years.

Hi Grace, glad to see you made it OK.

Try this beta version, it is very close to release. Apart from many later capacities, most of the binaries have manifest files and version control blocks so they should be less problematic with some AV scanners. The install tests if it can install correctly and tests after it has run to ensure the libs have been built. Works perfectlyon my own Win7 64 bit Ultimate edition.
