Possible. It was proven that all the videos could have being done on a studio with the technology of the era. And there was pressure on proving that Capitalism could create superior technology. than Communism. So there where the means and a motive. Thus the only thing to definitely prove one or another is to find the smoking gun (aka, going back to the moon and check if the junk left behind could be found.)

These post event proofs always make me laugh, i watched the rocket take off live, it was tracked by tracking stations in Australia among others and the feeds from the moon were live. If you reconstruct the evidence hard enough you can get anything you like, a martian scam to hide their main moon base from humans, Gidney and Cloyd (from Rocky and Bullwinkle) trying to avoid having to scrooch astronauhts etc etc ....

Now i wonder when the same nonsense will be applied to the Mars landings over time ?

At that age it was probably made of components soldered onto a circuit board by hand, not microscopic ICs and other tiny components robot assembled on a multilayer board. Back then MIL spec used to mean something like reliable, never failed and fast too.
