Checkbox control background color

that's true - and, i tried it one way, then the other - lol
i have used SetBkColor before, with text - i thought i had a handle on it   ::)

come to think of it, this could be a solution for the problem Jochen was having
only, he is actually using a static control
he got it working, but his current solution doesn't look right, to me   :P
what do i know - i am a n00b, too
