Looks good indeed. The area that reacts to mouseclicks could be a bit bigger; for example, I have Documents and Settings but get no selection if I click in the red area.

shouldn't the tree view expand, if I select  a folder?

   yeah jj.... its because i added those icons and then it shrank as the string wen froward. Yeah qword it should expand.... its just a small example. Thanks

Looks very nice xandaz, still needs a bit of fine tuning but looks great as it is.
