A good song stolen. Who knows from where the "Panzerlied"-Guys stole their original! Ha, ha ha!

You see, I have a "basque girl-friend" and she "presented" me some of their "freedom" songs. Then I told her: but this one I know it was stolen! And - you know what, she does not beleive me. THere are even some children songs that have been -- ehh - translated - and she thinks they are from "them"

But - on the ohter hand: who knows from which we have stolen "our" songs??  But we cant have stolen:
"All the birds are here again" because we know that shit little song for generations.

Now I know why I like classic music - because it it not nationalistic. A little "Nachtmusik" and "scheiss ins Bett, dass es kracht" -well they say Mozart said that

We've got a band Just Ginger that did a remake on Bob Dylan's 'All along the Watch Tower' and this friends (14yr) daughter went into orbit explaining how much better today's bands are, compared to 'our' generation using this song as an example.

He then proceded to 'stretch' the argument, working her up and in the end, pulled the Dylan CD out and played the song...
She was sooo miffed and walked out....

I have  CD of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor played by a guy called Peter Hurford on a pipe organ at a place called Ratzburg in Germany and if I play it through my antique pair of 15 inch bass bins, it rumbles the house.
