Well let me say, I was once a upon-a-time married (10 years of it) and it was I who was the robot being told what to do, how to behave and what direction our lives would go in the future. I suspect that it's the same way with Dave rather he believes it or not. From my prospective seeing the life long marriage of friends and family I've grown up with, that also goes for most every other married man. There's this big ring thru your nose you just don't see it.

truthfully, i can't complain
she's a great lady
we do things for each other because we want to - not because we have to   :U

thing is - she's a Brit - and they have a different set of rules for what's "socially acceptable"
that, and, well, before marriage, i never cared if what i did was acceptable, even in the US - lol

it brings to mind a humorous video clip i saw a while back
it was about, when a woman takes a shower, she tries to find new ways to clean the shower
when a man takes a shower, he tries to find new ways to clean his nose 

aside from that, we do pretty well
we never really argue - we see things in much the same way

i mentioned something to Hutch some time ago....
"find a woman that you enjoy listening to, because they like to talk"   :P

The thing when I was married that I enjoyed was every morning she and I (here name is Holly) would sit down at the table and bullshit before heading out for work. Unlike most women I have known she would do her morning face painting at the dinner table while on the other end I stuffed my face with breakfast as we did our morning chat. Her chatting was always about the previous nights dreams she had. They would often blow my mind how strange they'd be, myself I never remember my dreams only that I did dream. Funny what you remember about the past!  :bg
