How to install hotkey for my application?

OS Dependant....
On windows XP create a shortcut to the program. ie right drag click and let go and click create shortcut

Right click the shortcut
Click properties
There should be a "Shorkey key" box

I mean like when I highlight the textbox and then I press Ctrl+S it do autosave.
