ActiveX controls in asm and ms visual studio 2008

i have tested the visual control (activex) included in masm package,(/masm32/com/exemples/asmctrl) but ms visual stodio fire an error (exeption), i have tested the same control in ms visual studio ver 6 , it works
so , is there a problem with ms vs 2008 or is there some thing must be changed in the source code of asmctrl.asm
