AT&T is my ISP. I never did like them but they took over Bellsouth and it was to much trouble
to change to something else. They, like Microsoft, have a habit of CRAMMING things they want
down your throat.
The latest wrinkle is that TB will soon not work on Windows.  I use Ubuntu for 99.9% of my
email so I don't really give a hoot what they do. But occasionally I have to use TB in Windows
for an email..
In another thread I talk about the trouble I had with an Email in Ubuntu. So I am a little concerned
about not having anything reliable for email.

Why do you think Thunderbird won't work on Windows?

What does AT&T have to do with Thunderbird ?

Oh, googled and found this :
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=548075
QuoteYahoo (AT&T) is changing the POP and SMTP settings that it will support, and these settings are incompatible with Thunderbird. The AT&T support people tell me that this is Thunderbird's problem, not theirs. I need to know how to fix this or I will have to drop Thunderbird.

They'll update Thunderbird then ... big deal   :green2

That's the article that I saw.
If they update TB, no problem I guess.

I also use Thunderbird to access my Google mail, and like it very much, haven't had problems with Comcast, the high speed ISP I use here. But you never know with providers.
